Marana Vradenberg is a certified personal fitness trainer and a
nutrition specialist working on bringing her expertise to Veterans
and others who are overcoming life changing situations. Marana has
found that her journey through diabetes and blindness gives her
what it takes to demonstrate and assist others in overcoming
adversity.
She lost her sight and nearly lost everything to diabetes and has
accepted the challenges by asserting herself into learning more
about nutrition and fitness. She is working with a company that has
developed a new tool for diabetics that will show in real-time
whether one’s glucose levels are heading up or heading down. This
partnership works well with accessibility as Marana uses the
Dexcom device along with her
app in her phone to give her the information she needs to control
diabetes.
From Jujitsu training and training others Marana is always moving
forward and living her life to the fullest. Blindness is her
base-line and everything else faced head on. She is hoping to share
her experience and show others that life can begin after
blindness.
